It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas!

Time just keeps on slipping away... I have been busy working both at daycare and school the last few days.  The kids are wound up!  Between the holidays, impending severe weather, and a full moon, I thought I might go insane!  Oh well, finally a few minutes to myself to check the emails, and download a few hundred photos!

The last few weekends, the boys and I have been hanging out with my mom.  We went to the Rose Theater to see the Bearenstein Bear Save Christmas.  While the show was ok, the location was stunning.  My pictures do not do it justice.

It is truly an architectural gem here in Nebraska.  Thankfully someone had the knowledge and money to preserve this piece of history.  The plaster work alone... and the ceiling!  It looks like the night sky full of stars.  Just beautiful.

We also took a moment to visit Santa at the Durham Museum.  I was a bit rushed at trying to get a picture.  I guess there is always next year...

Last weekend was the annual try a few new recipes out for the holidays.  Michael picked out a gingerbread tree kit from the store and couldn't wait to get it together.

It's been a long week, oh wait it is only Monday!  Yikes!  I am subbing at my sons' daycare all week.  Today my DH had to bring the boys so I could arrive on time. 

Has anyone read Marley and Me?  I am so looking forward to the movie, even though I feel like I am already living with a similar version of him.  My DH's black lab, Gander, has become a rebellious teen.  If only it was chewing on things, that I could deal with.  No, he has to mark things! 

Just like Marley, Gander is afraid of the thunder claps and any other loud noise for that matter.   So much for him being a hunting dog...  Lately his ears have been getting infected.  His way of dealing with it is to vigorously shake his head side to side letting his ears flap... at 3 AM!!!! 

The whole day today I could swear it was Tuesday.  Hopefully the family can get a good nights sleep.  Apparently, mother nature is getting ready to give us her best shot overnight.

Exciting adventures in the works

I am not entirely sure where this year has gone, but I do know that it was full new ideas, new friends, and new paths.  There are so many things I want to share with everyone, and hopefully I will be able to in a way that does it all justice.

This is seriously embarrassing, I am at a total loss for words!

My boys and I decorated our first tree together.   It is very simple, but I love it.  There are a few more finishing touches to do before the holiday really settles in, but I am pleased that there are actual lights on our house!  Seriously this is huge!  I have been battling my DH aka the Scrooge for years now to put up lights on the house.  It's not exactly what I envisioned, but I am happy with the overall look.

We will be visiting the big man himself this weekend, hopefully the boys will cooperate for the camera...  Grandma got us tickets to see the Bearenstein bears Christmas at the Rose in Omaha.  It SHOULD be a fun weekend. 

There are many more things to come soon.  I hope to host a swap prior to Valentines day and to have a give away soon!
