So if you have been reading my blog lately, you'll notice that I have embraced the cake pop madness. I currently have my mom's side of the family working on a name for my cake pop business, and hope to have a name to announce soon.
Here are my latest experiments...
Triple chocolate raspberry love. I plan on adding some decorative details, think conversation hearts.
My first attempt at flowers... These will be called "Loves me, Loves me not pops" because you can pull the chocolate petals off one by one, and them eat 'em. I have heard that misting your "fondant" work with a certain adult beverage will help remove the dusting of corn starch, but since I have none in the house, it will have to wait.
And here is my practice "Popcorn Pop" for a custom order. These are more complicated than I thought, I do have another idea I will try before making more. Plus, I have discovered that having the right consistency for the chocolate helps tremendously!
During the experimental phase, I am using the "make it work" philosophy. So I may use funky colors, or try out some ways to add shading that would work much better when I have the "right" supplies.
I am looking for suggestions and ideas to work on, and I thinking about my own version of "Julia and Julia" challenge using the pops, maybe one a week from the Wilton "Pops, Sweets on a Stick" book. Don't worry, I haven't stopped creating with non-edible materials. I still plan on creating mixed media works... after all, who needs sleep.
If you are interested in ording some cake pops, please contact me. I do need a minimum of 48 hours to create, plus more if they need to be shipped.
- Basic pops - $1.50 each, minimum of 1 dozen
- Basics are dipped and then decorated with choice of drizzles, sprinkles, nuts, etc.
- Custom pops - start at $2.00 per pop, minimum of 6 per order
- Customs are anything sculpted like the flowers, cows, monkeys etc. Give me an idea and I will create a pop that will leave you wanting your cake pop and eating it too!
Orders can be picked up, delivered ($5 fee), or shipped (contact for pricing).
Viva la cake pop!

Just love these!
I just went to a Miss America party last wknd. How about tiaras for something like that or a little girl's princess party?
Or masks for Mardi Gras, shamrocks, soccer balls, baseballs, basketballs, etc. Or like the Husker pops Kerri said, Super Bowl team's logos.
Oooo the possibilities! So fun!

Fun! Fun! & Good luck!
I can't imagine YOU not doing daisies. How about dresses, top hats, dots with polka dots, scrabble tiles, baby blocks, pacifiers, Easter Eggs . . . . just turn your mixed media creations into food! I'm sure you would sell some Husker Pops, too.
Can't wait to see more pictures!
